Can you believe it’s already June? We’re halfway through the year! Since I’m in the last trimester of my pregnancy, I wanted to share a quick versatile, inexpensive maternity friendly find from H&M.
While on the prowl for some season and maternity transitional pieces, I decided to take a peek inside my local H&M store. I came across this dark green patterned long sleeveless vest.
The detailed pattern and color of this vest caught my eye almost instantly. I fell in love with the color because is was very different from my usual warm and neutral tones that I tend to wear year round. The high slits at the sides give it a bit more edge than your normal vest/cardigan. This makes it easy to dress up for a night on the town or a comfy casual brunch date during the day. The fact that this vest has no buttons makes this H&M vest extremely maternity friendly.
I’m wearing this vest while 6 months pregnant but I’ll definitely be able to wear it postpartum as well. It’s also a great piece that I can wear during spring, summer & autumn seasons. New York temperatures are still in the 80s during September. During that time, I can easily wear this vest with a pair of white jeans and peep-toe or closed toe booties. The cool crisp feel of autumn temps call for dark denim or black jeans with chocolate or tan boots/booties.
Spring has been a bit chilly majority of the time these past few weeks. I was still able to wear funky H&M vest with a pair of leggings, booties and a simple white top while remaining comfy & fashionable. I plan on wearing this vest with a pair of shorts, tank top and gladiator sandals once the temperatures warm up a bit.
This vest was $34.99 and cut true to size. H&M is also having a huge sale on many spring/summer items to compliment your bump style this summer! I notice that I find a better variety of items and sizes on the H&M website than in store more often than not. Have you checked their website out lately? Also check to see if your local H&M carries their maternity line in store ahead of time. Some H&M stores have phased out their maternity section.
